What Is the role?

Artelus is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team, where cutting-edge technology meets healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure across both AWS and Azure platforms. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the robustness, security, and scalability of our infrastructure, which supports our AI-driven diagnostic tools.

About you

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in managing and optimizing cloud environments. Your expertise should include deep knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Elastic Load Balancing, as well as familiarity with Azure. You should have strong skills in automating deployments using CI/CD pipelines and managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters where our backend applications reside. Your approach to infrastructure management emphasizes security, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. You should be proactive in monitoring and improving our systems to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Your Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Artelus, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the efficient operation and reliability of our AWS and Azure infrastructures.
  • Managing our Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and optimized for performance.
  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated and seamless deployment processes.
  • Monitoring system performance, responding to issues, and ensuring high availability and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and secure AWS and Azure cloud environments, ensuring efficient operation of services like Amazon EC2, S3, RDS, and Elastic Load Balancing.
  • Oversee the Kubernetes cluster that hosts nearly all our backend applications, applying best practices for scalability and security.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools for efficient management and operation of our cloud resources.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance the performance and reliability of our systems.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, and Elastic Load Balancing.
  • Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters, with a focus on scalability and security.
  • Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines and familiar with tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of network architecture and application development frameworks.
